Assistant Professor at D. Y. Patil International University working in the areas of biosensors, bioanalytical chemistry, nanobiotechnology, food safety, and biomass valorization. His research focuses on developing sustainable and translational analytical platforms for healthcare, environmental, and food safety applications while mentoring students in interdisciplinary research. 

Collaboration

Dr. Rutuja M. Sonkar is a researcher in Biological Sciences specializing in biotechnology, microbiology, functional foods, and gut microbiome research. Her work focuses on lignocellulosic biomass valorization, development of prebiotic oligosaccharides, microbial fermentation strategies, and microbiome-mediated health interventions. She has expertise in advanced bioanalytical techniques including HPLC and LC-MS/MS, metabolomics, in vitro gut fermentation models, and cell culture-based bioactivity evaluation. Her research integrates food biotechnology, microbial systems, and translational health applications, with significant contributions in functional food development, prebiotic research, and sustainable bioprocess technologies.

B.Tech Dissertation Research Student

Haziq Bashir is a B.Tech Bioengineering student at D. Y. Patil International University with specialization in Biochemical Engineering. His dissertation research focuses on the development of analytical approaches for food safety and chemical contaminant detection in food systems.
